Adopting a DeAmore Sphynx kitten is simple and guided. Here’s how it works from first contact to bringing your kitten home.

Reach Out

Submit an inquiry by email or through our Facebook Business page so we can talk about availability, timing, and what you’re looking for.

Reserve Your Kitten

When we agree on a placement, we sign a contract and you pay $100 a non-refundable deposit to join the waiting list or $500 reserve a specific kitten. Your deposit goes toward the total price.

We Raise & Prepare Your Kitten

Your kitten stays with us while we handle socialization, litter training, vet exams, vaccines, deworming, microchipping, and spay/neuter (for pet kittens).

Finalize & Pickup

Pickup takes place in Springfield, OR. Final payment is due in cash at pickup, or at least 3 business days prior to pickup if paying via Venmo, Zelle, Cash App, or PayPal, to allow time for funds to fully clear.

For families flying in, we can arrange delivery to EUG or for an additional $100 delivery fee to PDX.

Welcome Home & Support

You bring your kitten home with records, starter supplies, and clear care instructions. We stay available for questions and long-term support.

Adoption Requirements

To ensure a successful and lifelong pairing, all prospective families must commit to our core standards of responsible Sphynx ownership before proceeding with the adoption.

  • Indoor-Only Homes: All kittens are required by contract to be kept strictly indoors for life.

  • Responsible Care: Families must commit to proper nutrition, routine veterinary care, and daily socialization.

  • No Declawing: Declawing is strictly prohibited.

  • Return Policy: We accept our cats back at any age and in any condition. No refunds are provided.

  • Contract Requirement: Adoption is finalized only after a signed contract and completed payments.

  • Adopter Eligibility: Adopters must be at least 21 years of age.

  • We reserve the right to decline any placement that does not align with the best interests of our cats.

Where are you located?

DeAmore Sphynx Cattery is located in Springfield, Oregon.

Are your kittens raised in cages?

No. All kittens are home-raised and live in a household environment with daily human interaction.

At what age do kittens go home?

Kittens typically go home between 13–15 weeks of age.

What veterinary care do kittens receive?

Each kitten receives a veterinary examination, vaccinations, deworming, microchipping, and spay/neuter surgery. Health records are provided at pickup.

Do you offer health guarantees?

Yes. Our contract includes a 72-hour health guarantee, a 2-year congenital disease guarantee, a 5-year HCM replacement guarantee (conditions apply), and 30 days of Trupanion insurance.

How much do your kittens cost?

Pet kitten pricing ranges from $2,500–$3,500 depending on color and placement type. Breeding rights and retired adults are priced selectively.

How do I pay my reservation or waiting list deposit?

Deposits may be paid via PayPal, Zelle, Venmo, or Cash App. Payment instructions are provided at the time of reservation.

How do I make the final payment?
  • In-person pickup: Cash at pickup
  • Flight nanny or transport: Payment due three business days before release
  • Funds must be fully cleared before release.
Are deposits refundable?

No. Deposits are non-refundable.

Do you offer payment plans?

Yes we do. Have to be paid in full before pick-up date.

Are breeding rights available?

Breeding rights are offered selectively to qualified catteries, and require additional approval and separate agreements.

Are your kittens indoor-only?

Yes. All pet kittens are placed as indoor-only cats to ensure their safety and health.

What happens if I can no longer keep my cat?

DeAmore Sphynx must be contacted first. Cats may not be rehomed or surrendered without breeder involvement as per contract.

What health testing do you perform on your adult breeding cats?

All adult cats in our breeding program undergo routine health screening to support long-term wellness and responsible breeding. Our testing and monitoring include:

  • Annual echocardiograms performed by a board-certified veterinary cardiologist to screen for Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy (HCM)

  • DNA (Wisdom Panel) testing on all breeding cats

  • FeLV and FIV testing

  • Routine veterinary examinations and wellness checks

  • Ongoing evaluation of overall health, temperament, and physical condition

Cats are retired from breeding if results, health trends, or professional veterinary guidance indicate it is in the cat’s best interest.

Health testing is an ongoing process, not a one-time event, and is a core part of our commitment to ethical breeding and the long-term health of the Sphynx breed.
